Washington University in St. Louis

The way you connect to University applications is changing in Fall 2008

Welcome to WUSTL CONNECT!  The University has launched a new login system for all WUSTL online applications -- the WUSTL KEY.  This key will be your new self-selected Login ID and password for logging into University web applications, such as WebSTAC, WebFAC, Telesis, eGrades, the Research Gateway and other administrative applications like Human Resources Management System (HRMS).

The WUSTL CONNECT system will be phased in during the Fall 2008 semester for students, faculty and staff using University web applications.  Starting October 30th, students will be able to convert from their current Login ID (student ID number) to a new WUSTL KEY.  Later in Fall 2008, faculty and staff logging into HRMS, the Research Gateway and other administrative applications will also be able to create and use their WUSTL KEY.

During the transition to WUSTL CONNECT, students, faculty and staff will still be able to login using their current Login ID (student ID number or SSN).

Many administrative applications will use the new WUSTL CONNECT login page shown here.

Key features available in Fall 2008

  • Select your own WUSTL KEY Login ID — no more ID numbers required!
  • Log into University web applications like WebSTAC and Telesis with your WUSTL KEY!
  • Connect to other WUSTL CONNECT-enabled applications without having to login again!

The Future

Creating your WUSTL KEY to enable single sign-on features of University Applications is only the beginning. Over the next couple of years we will see integration with technology solutions at the schools for services like printing and email. In addition students can look forward to using their WUSTL KEY after they graduate for interactions with University systems provided for Alumni.

Background

In January '08, Washington University in St. Louis launched a University-wide initiative to develop a solution to provide single sign-on services to students, faculty and staff. IT professionals from all of the schools and several departments collaborated to define the requirements for a system that would serve the entire University. WUSTL CONNECT is the result of that collaboration.
